The Calcutta Run 2008Do I really have to raise €150 as a minimum?
We would really urge you to do this. This is a charity run rather than a simply pay as you go fun run. Our target is to raise €300k so that we will have reached €2m over 10 years. To do this we really need you to make the effort. Many people raise far more than this.
Can I walk?
Of course. At least 50% of participants walk, and the others walk and jog and then there are a few hundred serious runners.
What is the route?
See link on home page. It starts in the Law Society’s headquarters at Blackhall and enters the park at the North Circular road gate around to the Phoenix monument down by St. Mary’s hospital, around the S bends and leaves the park at the main Conyngham Rd entrance and back to Blackhall Place via Arbour Hill.

Please send the balance to the Calcutta Run c/o A&L Goodbody Solicitors, IFSC Northwall Quay, Dublin 1, as soon as possible afterwards.
What if it is raining?
The show must go on!!! Unfortunately we have no facility to shelter 1,500 runners so if it looks like if it is going to be a rainy day bring you rain gear. Our experience has been very good over the years and on three out of nine occasions it rained and only then for a short period of time. So fingers crossed.
